National Vocation Awareness Week

I am frequently told entertaining stories by parents about how their children pretend to be priests or seminarians at home – solemnly processing into the living room with their hands folded or elevating a Nilla wafer and grape juice. I find it encouraging. After all, children imitate their heroes. (A side benefit of kids playing Mass? They often pay closer attention to the real Mass!)

Today we begin National Vocation Awareness Week, so I thought I would share this short video with you featuring our Delta Class sharing some of the vocations they entertained before entering the seminary.

We are grateful for these seminarians and all those who seek to answer God’s call. Today is a great day to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering a vocation to the priesthood.
